the last day of school gets me every time. it is inevitable. even after five years of teaching, i still get emotional saying goodbye to my 'kids' at school. each year ends with a slide show telling the story of the year followed by the kids loading onto the buses. with their horns blaring the buses pull away for the final time. students so full of excitement hang out of the windows waving goodbye to all of the teachers lined up with streamers that fill the sky.
