Flashback Friday: #cottageweek

Because life happens, each and every Friday I will be having a Flashback Friday, where I go back in time and write about something I didn't have time to write about the first time around.

First up: #cottageweek

One week out of the year when life slows down, showers are optional and laughter trumps all.

During #cottageweek 2012...

We spent our time jumping off docks, over and over again.

We plodded up and down the long dock day in and day out.

We smiled big smiles.

We played silly games.

We tubed with friends.

We laughed and laughed and laughed.

We dune jumped when the weather turned cold.

We tried new things,

and rediscovered old ones.

We took rides on the Fun Deck,

had to repair the Fun Deck,

and ran out of gas on the Fun Deck.

We climbed in a barrel full of cherry pits.

We took in the beauty all around us.

We slowed down, spent time in authentic community and headed back home with happy hearts.
