team up thursday

i'd like to think that i came up with this idea myself, but unfortunately, that is not the case. it was actually my wonderfully creative friend sara that spotted this and invited me to join her for team up thursdays.

for three years now sara has pushed my thinking both professionally and personally, and now she has me quite excited to think in a new creative way.

the way team up thursdays work is that two different people are given a theme each week. they both take a picture of how they interpret the theme and display the two pictures side by side.

this week the theme was "big".

i had many different ideas running through my head and stored in my camera of how i saw big, but wasn't thrilled with any of them. and it wasn't until i was coming in from taking a picture of the sky that i stumbled upon our quote from abe lincoln and knew that had to be my picture.

not only was abe lincoln a "big" figure in our history, but he also spoke "big" words, and the words we have on our wall speak so eloquently to the importance of living a "big" life. it was only appropriate.

and when i saw sara's picture, team up thursdays came to life. i love her perspective of "big" and it perfectly portrays the beauty of team up thursdays...
