i have been very fortunate to have a wonderful family in my classroom...twice. in this case, this family has probably taught us more than i have taught both of their children. each year they make maple syrup and this year we were invited to their sugarbush at the sugarshack. a real sugarshack with a real outhouse included...how cool is that. the boys had an incredible time with gibson running around with kurt and his other friends from school, and elliott taking everything in with his new found curiosity. dried crinkly leaves were elliott's favorite. while gibson still hasn't stopped talking about the little dirtbike he got to sit on. we were thankful to have the chance to go and found ourselves sad to leave.
